Ministry Advisory

Clear counsel for the decisions you can't afford to get wrong.

A confidential, one-on-one advisory relationship for ministry leaders. You bring the hard decision. I bring experience, an outside view, and straight talk.

Who it's for

For the leader everyone else turns to.

The higher you go, the fewer people you can think out loud with. Your staff needs you steady. Your board needs answers. Your congregation needs a shepherd. Ministry Advisory gives you one place where you can say what's really going on and get an honest response.

  • Senior Pastors

You carry the spiritual and organizational weight of the church. I help you think clearly about the decisions only you can make.

  • Executive Directors

You lead staff, budgets and boards in a mission-driven setting. I've done that job, and I know where it gets complicated.

  • Second-Chair Leaders and Ministry Teams

Executive pastors, operations leaders and leadership teams who make the vision run. Your seat has its own pressures, and it deserves counsel too.

What we work on

The issues that carry the most weight.

We focus on what's in front of you right now. These are the conversations I have most often.

Schedule a Conversation

Hard staffing decisions

Hiring, restructuring, a difficult conversation, or letting someone go with grace.

Board and governance

Clarifying roles, rebuilding trust, and bringing hard truths to the board well.

Leading through change

A new direction, a merger, a building project, or a season of decline.

A stalled vision

Turning what you said at the retreat into priorities, owners and real progress.

Team health and conflict

Naming what's really happening on your team and deciding what to do about it.

Your own leadership

Your pace, your blind spots, and whether you can sustain the way you're leading.

Advisory, not coaching

This isn't traditional coaching.

Coaching has real value. But when you're facing a decision with real stakes, you often need more than good questions. You need someone who has been there to tell you what they see.

How it works

It starts withone conversation.

You don't need to have it all figured out before we talk. Bring what's on your mind and we'll sort it out together.

Schedule a Conversation
  1. 1

    Let's Talk

A first conversation about your situation, your goals and what's keeping you up at night. I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right person to help.

  2. 2

    Explore the Path

We name the real issue underneath the presenting one, weigh the options, and agree on what our work together should look like.

  3. 3

    Move Forward

You act with clear counsel behind you. As new decisions come, I stay in your corner, so you're never starting from scratch.

What you can count on

Three promises I make to every leader.

Complete confidentiality

What you share stays between us. You can think out loud about people, money and your own doubts without worrying about who will hear.

The truth, told with care

I won't tell you what you want to hear. I'll tell you what I see, with the respect of someone who has sat in your chair.

A clear next step

Every conversation ends with a decision or a next step. You won't walk away with a pile of ideas and no plan.

Common questions

Before we talk.

A few things leaders often ask before scheduling a first conversation.

How is this different from coaching?
A coach mostly asks questions and helps you find your own answers. I do that too, but I also bring my own ministry leadership experience and give you specific counsel on the decision in front of you.
Do you work with individuals or teams?
Both. Most advisory relationships start with the senior leader. When it helps, the work can widen to your leadership team or your whole organization.
Is what I share really confidential?
Yes. Our conversations stay between us. That's what makes it possible to talk honestly about the things you can't say anywhere else.
What if I'm not sure what I need?
That's what the first conversation is for. Tell me what's going on, and we'll figure out together whether advisory is the right fit.

Let's talk about what you're facing.

Pick a time that works for you. We'll talk about your situation, what you're hoping for, and whether working together makes sense. You'll leave with a clearer view either way.

  • A focused, confidential conversation
  • An honest read on what you're facing
  • A clear next step, whatever you decide
